BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team led the entire game, outscored North Park 20-8 in the first quarter and went on to a 93-54 win over the Vikings at the Shirk Center on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
The Titans improved to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while North Park slipped to 8-7 overall and 1-5 in league play.
Fourteen of the 18 people who played for Illinois Wesleyan scored in the game and IWU was led by the 33 points from
Molly McGraw, who netted 25 in the first half and played only three minutes in the final half. The 33 points is tied for the fourth most by a player at the
Shirk Center and tied for
sixth most by an IWU player.
Sophomore
Ashley Schneider added 14 points for IWU and senior
Alina Lehocky grabbed a game-high eight rebounds as the Titans outrebounded the Vikings, 50-33.
IWU scored 31 points off the 25 turnovers forced in the contest while committing 15 turnovers. Illinois Wesleyan's largest lead was by 46 points, 77-31, after an
Emily Farris free throw with 2:54 left in the third period.
North Park, who did not play leading scorer Liz Rehberger or starting guard Amani Davis in the game, was led by the 14 points from Emma Gryna and 11 points and seven rebounds from Clarissa Ramos. Shaylee Sloan also collected seven rebounds.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Carthage (8-5 overall, 3-2 CCIW) at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Shirk Center.
