SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The No. 8-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team was handed their first loss of the season on Saturday, falling to Trinity University (Texas) by a final score of 5-0. IWU conceded an early goal at the 4:58 mark and were unable to limit the damage done by the Tigers throughout the remainder of the contest.
Fresh off a convincing 4-1 victory of Benedictine Univeristy, the Titans were limited to four total shots and two shots on goal during Saturday's match. Trinity on the other hand registered 17 total shots, eight of which were on goal. Sophomore
Erin Roegner and senior Skylar Tomko recorded the teams lone shots on goal for the first and second halves resepctively.
Trinity took advantage of eight corner kick opportunities while holding IWU to zero corner kick chances. The Tigers registered four shots immediately following corner kicks with one leading to a goal off a header from Colleen Markey.

Illinois Wesleyan's time in San Antonio continues on Monday, Sept. 5 where they'll meet No. 17-ranked Hardin-Simmons University. Hardin-Simmons enters into Monday's match with a record of 0-1 after being upset by Pacific Lutheran University.
