CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team was defeated by No. 5-ranked Thomas More College on Sunday, Sept. 25 by a final score of 3-0. An early goal by the Saints was all they'd need, holding the Titans without a shot until the second half of action.
At the 8:46 mark in the first half the Titans allowed their first goal in four games, snapping sophomore
Katie Denney's shut-out streak. Denney and the Titan defense surrendered three goals on Sunday with two coming in the second half. Both second half goals were scored by Olivia Neinaber who notched a brace for the Saints.
IWU's offense was held in check throughout the entirety of the contest, mustering up three total shots during the game with two falling on goal. All of the Titans shots came in the second half. Seniors
Alison Seger and
Amanda Kaiser each recorded shots on goal.
