BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to Wartburg College at Neis Field in Bloomington on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Illinois Wesleyan lost for the third straight time and slipped to 2-3-1 this season while Wartburg improved to 4-1-1.

The Titans went ahead in the game, 1-0, with the first goal at the 48:52 mark from junior
Collen Frost, his first of the season, on an assist from freshman
Orion Marty.

The Knights tied the game at 1-1 on a tally by Travis Gudenkauf at 56:39 with an assist to Nick Schwake, then took the lead for good in the 80th minute on a Devin Eby goal with an assist for Daniel Luzindya.

Alex Ruckstaetter allowed both Wartburg goals and made four saves in 90 minutes. Illinois Wesleyan outshot Wartburg 12-10 but the Knights posted six shots on goal compared to four for Illinois Wesleyan.

Illinois Wesleyan is at home again on Sunday at 12 p.m., taking on a second Iowa Intercollegiate Conference team in Coe College at Neis Field.
