BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – A barrage of early goals – 10 in the first quarter alone – staked the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team to a 20-2 win over the University of Dubuque at Tucci Stadium on Wednesday, April 20.
The Titans improved to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Spartans slipped to 1-10 overall and 0-3 in the CCIW.
Illinois Wesleyan got five goals from freshman
Jack Quinn and four from junior
Evan Mok-Lamme. Two goals each were registered by junior
Colin Daly, junior
Tim Smith, freshman
Will Rossi and junior
Jacob Perry while senior
Robert Spenard, junior
Michael Julius and sophomore
James Maibuecher each had one goal.
Three players saw time in goal for IWU with junior
Steven Laduzinsky going the first 9:39, sophomore
Reagan Penner working the middle 35:21 and junior
Jordan Staley keeping a scoreless fourth quarter.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot Dubuque 50-21 and had 32-11 edge in shots on goal. IWU had a 49-18 advantage in ground balls and won 17 of the 26 faceoffs with junior
Andy Justl getting 6-of-9 while freshman
Sean Lee got 5-of-9 and senior
Miles Ebell got 5-of-7.

IWU hosts Carthage at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, April 23 at 3 p.m. The Red Men are 6-8 overall and 2-0 in the CCIW heading into a Wednesday night home game against Elmhurst.
