IWU Men Get Road Lacrosse Win at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team improved to 7-3 with an 11-7 win at John Carroll University on Saturday, April 2, at Don Shula Stadium in University Heights, Ohio.
 
Junior Michael Julius had three goals and three assists for the Titans while sophomore James Maibuecher, junior Tim Smith and junior Jacob Perry each added two goals. Maibuecher and sophomore Nick Winter also had two assists.
 
John Carroll outshot the Titans, 35-28, but IWU had 21 shots on goal compared to 20 for the Blue Streaks. John Carroll had 28 ground balls compared to 31 for IWU with junior Max Porter getting six and freshman J.C. Grabarek getting four.
 
Junior goalkeeper Steven Laduzinsky made 13 saves in the win as the Blue Streaks fell to 4-4 this season.

What's Next?
The Titans play next at Concordia University in Mequon, Wis., at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 prior to opening College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play at Elmhurst on April 16.
