TITAN NOTES:  Illinois Wesleyan is 13-12 overall and finished 7-7 in the CCIW. The Titans are 3-7 on the road and 2-0 at neutral sites ...Illinois Wesleyan is 10-3 when leading at halftime and 1-0 when tied at the half ... Second team all-conference selection Trevor Seibring has a field goal percentage of .612 (139 of 227), the seventh best in an IWU season. That mark is currently 17th in Division III ... Senior Bryce Dolan has 70 3-point field goals this season, ninth best in an IWU season. Dolan is No. 7 in IWU history with 194 3-point field goals. His .438 3-point percentage is sixth best all-time and he is tied for 17th with 108 games played.  His 220 assists is tied for 20th in IWU history ... In national D-III stats, Dolan is 20th in 3-point shooting accuracy and 56th with 2.8 3-pointers per game.

HEAD COACH RON ROSE: Titan head coach Ron Rose (Illinois Wesleyan '88) has a 10-year record of 189-94 (.668 winning percentage) with a CCIW record of 89-51 (.638 winning percentage).

CCIW TOURNAMENT: IWU has never won the CCIW postseason tournament, which was first played in 2006, and has a 6-8 record in eight prior tournament appearances ... This is the Titans' seventh straight CCIW tournament and IWU hosted the event in 2013 and 2014 ... On six occasions, IWU has played in the championship game, including last year in a 78-74 loss at Augustana. Go here to see all IWU games in conference tourney ... The tournament winner earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament ... Since the tournament was begun (2006), no champion has ever come out of the No. 3 or 4 seed. The No. 1 seeded team has won six times and the No. 2 seed has won four titles.

POLLING PLACE: Three teams in the conference tournament are in the top 20 in the current national rankings - Augustana (24-1) is No.1 in the D3hoops.com rankings with North Central (19-6) at No. 11 and Elmhurst (20-5) at No. 17 ... Other ranked teams on the IWU schedule included No. 2 Benedictine (25-0) and No. 10 Ohio Wesleyan (22-3) ... In the third NCAA regional rankings, Benedictine is first, followed by Augustana, St. Norbert (21-2), North Central, Elmhurst, Chicago (17-7), Aurora (20-5) and Carroll (19-4). Carroll will be joining the CCIW next season.

3-POINTERS: The 240 3-point field goals this season is third most in an IWU single-season, behind 302 (2013-14) and 276 (2014-15) ... Illinois Wesleyan has a 3-point field goal in 576 straight games, going back to Jan. 28, 1996 when IWU was 0-for-8 in an 86-76 win at North Park.

WINNING SEASONS: This year's record snaps a string of six consecutive 20-win seasons for Titan men's basketball ... Illinois Wesleyan has been a 20-game winner for 25 times in school history and for 24 times in the last 50 seasons ... The last time IWU lost more than 12 games was in 2006-07 (11-14).

NCAA STATISTICS: In the latest national Division III stats, IWU is 15th (of 408 teams) in 3-point field goal percentage (.392), 23rd in assists per game (16.9), 27th in 3-pointers per game (9.6), 31st in field goal percentage (.479) and 43rd with a 1.29 assist/turnover ratio.

THE SERIES: Illinois Wesleyan leads the series against Augustana, 92-69, but lost both games to the Vikings this season. Augie won 77-60 at the Shirk Center on Jan. 20 and handed IWU a 76-60 setback in Rock Island on Feb. 10 ... Dating back to 1946, IWU leads the series vs. the Bluejays, 105-24. The Titans have won 15 of the last 23 meetings but has lost two years in a row at Elmhurst (falling 78-64 on Jan. 2) ... Dating back to 1920-21, Illinois Wesleyan leads the North Central series, 115-41. The Titans have won three of the last six meetings as North Central won both games this season.

AUGUSTANA VIKINGS: Augustana comes into the tournament with a 12-game winning streak ... Augustana is the only program to qualify for the CCIW Tournament every year of its existence dating back to 2006 including four tournament titles (2007, 2008, 2011, 2015). Guard Hunter Hill and forward Ben Ryan were unanimous first team all-conference selections and Hill was named the league's "Most Outstanding Player" for the second straight season. Ryan led Augustana in both scoring (14.7) and rebounding (7.3), while Hill was the team's second-leading scorer with 14.2 points per game and 90 assists. ... Grey Giovanine was tabbed as the league's "Coach of the Year" ... The Vikings are No. 5 nationally in field goal percentage (.505) and No. 6 with a +17.4 scoring margin. Augie is also No. 10 nationally with a +8.5 rebound margin ... Senior forward Brandon Motzel ((8.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg) earned second team honors while senior guard Jawan Straughter (6.3 ppg) was named to the third team.

NORTH CENTRAL CARDINALS: North Central comes into the tourney with a four-game winning streak and has won nine of its last 10 ... The Cardinals beat Elmhurst and Illinois Wesleyan twice this season and lost both games to Augustana ... Alex Sorenson was a unanimous selection to the all-CCIW first team, while Connor Raridon was voted to the second team and Jayme Moten earned third team honors ... Raridon, the third of head coach Todd Raridon's sons to play at North Central, was also named the CCIW's "Freshman of the Year" ... The Cardinals are 6-4 all-time in the CCIW's postseason tournament. North Central has won the event three times (2006, 2012, 2013) and is the only CCIW team to win more than once as the No. 2 seed (2006, 2013).

ELMHURST BLUEJAYS: Elmhurst has lost two in a row and has a 4-4 record in their final eight games ... The Bluejays are in the conference tournament for the second-straight season under third year coach John Baines and sixth time overall ... The Bluejays lost twice to North Central and split with Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana, handing the Vikings their only loss of the year 77-75 in overtime on Jan. 6 in Elmhurst ... Kyle Wuest was selected to the all-conference first-team while Will Nixon was chosen to the second team and Erik Crittenden earned third-team all-conference honors ... Baines was a member of the 1997 Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball championship team.
