BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Pushing their record over the .500 mark, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team made two first half goals stand up in a 2-1 win over North Park on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at IWU's Neis Field.
The win gives Illinois Wesleyan a 5-4-2 overall mark and the Titans are 2-0-0 in defense of their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin title. The Vikings are 2-6-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the CCIW).
Senior
Sarah Trach scored the first IWU goal, unassisted, at the 12:26 mark on a shot from straight on just outside the top of the box.
Rosie Pettenuzzo knocked in a header at 32:59 after a feed from freshman
Ellie Crabtree off a free kick.
Annika Nyquist scored the lone Viking goal at 85:04 with an assist to Grace Redding.
The Titans outshot North Park, 26-3, and IWU sophomore keeper
Katie Denney made one save. Sydney Martinez had 10 saves for the Vikings.
