BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team broke out in a big way on Wednesday, Oct. 12, defeating Concordia University Chicago by a final score of 6-0 in a late season non-conference match. Senior
Skyler Tomko tallied two goals to lead the offensive charge from the Titans.
With a win IWU improved to 7-4-2 on the season while Concordia-Chicago fell to 8-5-1.
The Titans got off to a scorching start in the first half of action, dominating play on both sides of the ball. IWU collected two goals and totaled seven shots on goal in the first while their defense held Concordia-Chicago to a lone shot on goal.
Tomko struck first in the 15th minute, scoring her second goal of the season off an assist from senior

Rosie Pettenuzzo struck next for IWU off an assist from junior
Rachel Westerkamp to score her third goal of the year. Pettenuzzo has now scored in three straight contests dating back to the Titans 2-1 win over Carroll University.
Illinois Wesleyan continued to pour it on in the second half, scoring four goals on 13 shot attempts. Tomko secured the brace in the 54th minute, scoring off a high cross from Seger. Seger continued to play a major part on offense in the 69 minute, scoring off a ball initially saved by the goalkeeper.

Erin Roegner scored her first of the year in the 72th minute, while freshman
Jordan Ellerbrock capped things off with a goal off an attempted clear in the 86th minute.

Katie Denney improved to 7-4-2 in goal for the Titans while helping the Titans to their sixth shutout of the season.
What's Next?
The Titans play once more this week, taking on Wheaton College on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1:00 p.m. on Neis Field. Wheaton enters Saturday's contest with a record of 6-7 (3-1 CCIW).
