HOLLAND, Mich. -- A goal in the 83rd minute was the game-winner as the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team lost at Hope College, 2-1, in Holland, Mich., on Saturday, Sept. 5 in the Bergsma Memorial Tournament.
The Titans are now 0-1-1 while Hope improved to 2-1.
Illinois Wesleyan got on the board first with an unassisted goal from senior
Blake Beehler at 4:10.
Hope answered at the 10:25 mark with an unassisted tally from Jared Wondergem. The game-winner was at 82:09, also unassisted, by Christian Dault.
Both teams had 11 total shots and Illinois Wesleyan keeper
Craig Kym made three saves.
