Sydney Fox at the 85:41 mark gave the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team a 1-0 win over visiting University of Chicago on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Neis Field.
The No. 9-nationally ranked Titans improved to 8-1 overall and the Maroons are now 5-3.
The goal was the sixth of the season for Tomko and came after a cross into the box from Fox.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot Chicago, 11-5, and put five shots on goal compared to two for the Maroons. Both saves were made by IWU freshman goalkeeper

What's Next?Illinois Wesleyan plays Rose-Hulman at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, in Terre Haute, Ind. Rose-Hulman is 3-4 record this season coming off a win at Principia Tuesday. Senior keeper Lucinda Combs has a 1.14 goals against average and a .840 save percentage in seven starts.
