BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Senior
Sydney Fox found the back of the net three times in the first half as the No. 4-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team had little trouble shutting out Illinois College 7-0 at Neis Soccer Field on Thursday, Sept. 17.

IWU remains perfect with a 7-0-0 record while the Lady Blues fell to 3-3-0 on the season.

Skyler Tomko opened the scoring up for the Titans in the 13th minute (12:01) off an assist from senior
Tess Bottorff for her fifth goal of the season. Fox then reeled off three straight goals (20:25, 28:08, 30:37) in a little more than 10 minutes of game time to net the hat trick and put the game out of reach.

The second half featured three IWU goals starting with junior Allison Seger's first goal of the season coming at the 65:58 mark to put Ill. Wesleyan up 5-0. The Titans would net an own goal in the 74
th minute (73:52) before
Amanda Kaiser found the back of the net for her second goal of the season in the 76th minute (75:55). Â

Three Titan goalies saw action and faced only a single shot on the night as freshman
Katie Denney played the entire first half before giving way to
Dana Jourdan to start the second half. Jourdan would make one save on the only shot IWU gave up all night, playing 34 minutes before
Shannon Green would close out the final 11 minutes.

What's Next? IWU squares off with No. 12-ranked Washington University (Mo.) on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. in St. Louis. The Bears are 4-1 this season and defeated the Titans 1-0 last year in Bloomington.
