BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The No. 4-ranked Illinois Wesleyan scored two goals in the first four minutes of the game to put away The University of the South early in a 3-0 win at Neis Soccer Field on Friday, September 11.

With the win, the Titans improved to 5-0 for the first time since the 2010 while Sewanee remains winless with a record of 0-2-1.

Sydney Fox scored a mere 36 seconds into the game to give the Titans a 1-0 lead before Sewanee would be called for a foul in the box to give
Mary Kate Schmidt a penalty shot. Schmidt would convert the penalty shot at the 3:05 mark to give IWU a 2-0 lead that the Titans would take into halftime.

Fox would tack on an insurance goal in the 74
th minute (73:49) to make the score 3-0, while IWU allowed only three second half shots to the Tigers.
