DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team got five goals and an assist from
Alex Lambert and
Nick Winter had three goals and seven assists in a 23-3 league win at the University of Dubuque on Wednesday, April 15.
After opening the season with four losses in the first six games, Illinois Wesleyan has won eight in a row and is now 10-4 overall and 3-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Dubuque slipped to 2-8 overall and 1-3 in the CCIW.
In addition to Lambert's five goals and Winter's three,
Tim Smith and
Colin Daly scored four goals each,
Michael Julius and
Jacob Perry scored two each and single tallies were fired in by
James Maibuecher,
Evan Mok-Lamme and
Cody Gountounas.
Julius and Maibuecher each had three assists,
Connor Coffey and Smith had two apiece and Brandon Brusca and Perry each had one.
Jordan Staley played all 60 minutes in goal and made five saves. IWU was 19 of 29 in faceoffs and corralled 69 ground balls to 34 for the Spartans.
