DECATUR, Ill. -- Millikin scored a run with two outs in the last of the ninth inning to claim a 7-6 win over Illinois Wesleyan in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin baseball game at Sunnyside Park in Decatur on Sunday, April 12.

The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Titans, who are now 18-7 overall and still in first place in the CCIW with a 9-3 mark. The Big Blue improved to 12-14 overall and 4-8 in the league.

Millikin scored single runs in the final four innings to get the come from behind win and had two outs against IWU reliever Louis Acklin (0-2) with nobody on base when they got two singles and a batter hit by pitch to load the bases before rightfielder Julian Gutierrez singled down the rightfield line to knock in the winner.

It was the third consecutive game for IWU to have 14 hits as senior centerfielder Tim Coonan and junior leftfielder Adam Glogovsky each had three hits with Glogovsky and designated hitter Tim Smyk getting doubles for the lone Titan extra base hits. Catcher Pat Mollo, shortstop Jarrod Juskiewicz and rightfielder Nick Huskisson each had a pair of hits for IWU, who stranded nine runners.
