JACKSON, Miss. - The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team opened its 2015 season with a come-from-behind 7-5 win over Blackburn College on Saturday, March 7, in a game played at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss.

The Titans trailed 4-0 early in the game before a seventh inning home run by sophomore catcher Pat Mollo put the Titans ahead to stay, 6-5. Mollo also had a double in the game while senior outfielder Tim Coonan had two hits and scored three times.

In relief, sophomore righthander Sean Coonan allowed just two hits in 3 2/3 scoreless innings to be the winning pitcher and senior Dan Truesdale earned the save.

The Titans and Beavers will play a 3 p.m. doubleheader in Jackson on Sunday, March 8.
