Box Score 2 NORMAL, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team posted wins of 4-1 and 9-3 doubleheader sweep over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon at the Corn Crib in Normal.
Illinois Wesleyan improved to 5-2 on the season, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 5-5 overall.
In the opener, junior lefthander 
Josh Jimenez (1-1) allowed six hits, only one of which left the infield, and struck out 11 in picking up the win with the complete game. Rose-Hulman sent the tying run to the plate in the final inning but Jimenez ended the contest with a strikeout.
Freshman third baseman 
Gino Cavalieri led the Titans offense with two hits and two RBIs as Illinois Wesleyan built a 4-0 lead with two runs in the second, one in the fourth and one in the sixth inning. Sophomore catcher 
Pat Mollo cracked a double for IWU's lone extra base hit.
In the nightcap, Illinois Wesleyan erased an early 3-1 Rose-Hulman lead, getting a 4-3 advantage after six innings. Mollo clubbed a grand slam home run to deep leftfield in the seventh inning to give the Titans their margin of victory. Sophomore rightfielder 
Nick Huskisson had two hits and batted in two runs.

Jonathan Vlk (1-0) was the third of five Titan hurlers and went a solid 4 innings, allowing only two hits while striking out two.
What's Next?The Titans embark on a five-game weekend road trip to St. Louis, opening with a Friday (March 20) afternoon game at 3 p.m. against Washington U.
