Eric Gilbert in a 3-1 loss to Millikin at Neis Field on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The Titans, who outshot Millikin 31-9, are now 5-8-2 overall and 1-4-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Big Blue is 10-4-0 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play.

Illinois Wesleyan had 15 shots on goal compared to five for Millikin and the Titans also had seven corner kicks to two for the Big Blue.

Gilbert's penalty kick goal, his fourth tally of the season, came at 49:39 and cut the Millikin lead to 2-1. Millikin had scored two first half goals – the first by Tucker Mathieson very early at 3:22 and the second by Sam Rackovan at 39:50.

Nick Abel tacked on the final goal of the game at 50:47.

Craig Kym made two saves while Millikin keepers Trevor Creek (eight) and Daniel Sinclair (six) accounted for 14 saves.
