BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan junior
Skyler Tomko registered two goals and assisted on the other in a 3-0 women's soccer win over Carthage in the Homecoming game at Neis Field on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The No. 9-ranked Titans are now 12-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Lady Reds are 3-9-0 overall and 0-2-0 against the league.
The Titans opened the scoring at the 11:23 mark on the 10th goal of the year by senior
Sydney Fox, a deflection on an assist from Tomko.
IWU took a 2-0 lead at 24:25 when Tomko got her seventh season tally on a goal that was a result of multiple deflections from IWU shots.
Tomko's second of the game and eighth of the year came at 51:16 as a header off an assist from sophomore
Rachel Westerkamp.
Illinois Wesleyan had 19 shots to eight for Carthage and freshman goalkeeper
Katie Denney made six saves in notching her seventh shutout of the season.
