Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team opened College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play with a five-set loss at Augustana on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Illinois Wesleyan lost by scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 9-15. The loss, which ended a three-game winning streak, sends the IWU overall record to 7-8 while Augustana impoved to 11-1 overall.
The Titans were led in kills by freshman
Kyleigh Block with 13 while seniors
Maddie Greybar and
Kinzie Schweigert had 12 and six, respectively. Freshman
Maisy Bowden had five kills, two service aces and two blocks.
Sophomore
Colleen Rynne provided 18 set assists and had 18 defensive digs while sophomore
Lizzy Hawk had 15 assists and 10 digs.
Junior
Mary Rankin led the team with 24 digs with Greybar making 23 and Block getting 15.
What's Next?Illinois Wesleyan will have a week before its next action - hosting Carthage in a CCIW match at 7 p.m. in the Shirk Center.
