Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team fell to 4-6 overall with a four-set loss at nonconference Webster University on Friday, Sept. 12. The Titans lost, 25-23, 17-25, 15-25, 18-25.
With the win, Webster improved to 4-4.
Senior
Maddie Greybar led IWU with 14 kills and 12 digs while freshman
Kyleigh Block had 13 kills and eight digs. Senior
Kinzie Schweigert added 10 kills and freshman
Maisy Bowden had five kills and a team-high four blocks.
Sophomore
Colleen Rynne had 31 assists and freshman
Nicole Bing had 11 assists and 11 defensive digs. Junior
Mary Rankin also had five digs.
In the four sets, IWU had 48 kills, 19 errors and 173 kill attempts for a .168 hitting percentage while Webster had a .224 hitting percentage with 43 kills and 15 errors in 125 attempts.
What's Next?The Titans are off until next Friday when they host the nine-team Barker Chevrolet Classic II. IWU plays Lincoln Christian at 3:30 p.m. and Monmouth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday before playing Anderson at 10 a.m. and Dominican at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
