WELLESLEY, MASS.- The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team fell short for the second straight day, losing 2-1 to Babson College (Mass.) on Saturday, August 30th. The loss drops the Titans to 0-2 overall while the host Beavers improve to 2-0 on the young season. 

After falling into an early 1-0 deficit, IWU was able to come up with an equalizer in the 47th minute (46:30) off of a header from Colin Rathe. Babson regained the lead just moments later (46:52), and was able to hold off a late Titan charge to secure the 2-1 victory.

Illinois Wesleyan will open up their 2014 home campaign on Saturday, September 6th, at 6:30 p.m. against Wisconsin-Platteville in game one of the Clash of the Titans Classic.
