Box Score LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team scored two runs in the 12th inning to earn a 4-2 victory over Rockford University on Wednesday, April 30 at Aviators Stadium in Loves Park, Ill.
The Titans are 18-16 overall, while the Regents are 18-17.
Trailing 2-0 on two unearned runs in the third, the Titans scored a run in the fourth when senior
Bobby Czarnowski led off with a double and scored on a
Matthew Mardis single down the rightfield line.
In the seventh, IWU tied the score, 2-2, on an unearned run when
Pat Mollo led off the inning by getting aboard on a shortstop fielding error, went to second on a wild pitch and scored when
Jon Frericks doubled down the rightfield line.
In the 12th, Czarnowski led off with a walk and went to third on a
Nick Hahn single. Hahn, N. advanced to second on a wild pitch and a walk to
Adam Glogovsky loaded the bases. All runners moved ahead a base and Czarnowski scored on a balk to put IWU up 3-2. With two outs, Mollo walked to load the bases again and
Jake Capko walked to force in Hahn.

Robert Romano (3-2), the 10th Titan hurler of the game, struck out three in the final two shutout innings to get the pitching victory as Jacob Gorsuch (1-2) suffered the loss.
What's Next?The Titans will kick off their final College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin series of the regular season with a game at Elmhurst College on Friday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m.
