Baseball Splits Saturday Games vs. North Park

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan's Matt Hart and John Munyon combined for a 1-0 shutout win in game one before the Titans lost 8-0 in the nightcap in a doubleheader against North Park at Horenberger Field on Saturday, April 26.

The Titans are 17-16 overall and 11-7 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Vikings improved to first place with a 12-6 CCIW record and are 22-13 overall.

Wesleyan's only run of the day came in the second inning of the first game on a run-scoring double by sophomore Matthew Mardis to bring in rightfielder Adam Glogovsky. Hart (5-1) got the win, going eight innings and allowing five hits with two strikeouts, and Munyon worked out of a bases-loaded jam with two outs in the ninth to earn his fifth save.
