Tickets will also be on sale Friday at 4 p.m. Tickets will be sold for $7 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens and children under 2 are admitted free. No season passes or other special passes will be accepted.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team (25-4) will host the Calvin Knights (24-5) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, in the sectional round of 16 in the 2014 NCAA Division III basketball championships. Wheaton (21-8) will play Dickinson (23-6) in the 5:30 p.m. game with the winners to meet Saturday night at 7.
The winner of the IWU sectional will play on Friday, March 21, in a semifinal game in Salem, Va., with the Division III championship game on Saturday, March 22.
The IWU sectional winner will advance to play in one March 21 semifinal in Salem, Va., against the winner of Wis.-Stevens Point sectional. Games there have Emory (18-8) vs. Wis.-Stevens Point (28-1) and Texas-Dallas (27-3) vs. Wis.-Whitewater (25-4).
Earning an at-large bid into the tourney, the Titans (25-4) are making their fifth straight and 23rd overall NCAA tournament appearance in the 30 years of NCAA affiliation and the win over St. Norbert gives IWU a 51-22 record in 23 NCAA Division III appearances, tying Wittenberg for the most wins in D-III postseason. The Tigers are 51-27 in 27 tournaments and were ousted by Calvin in round one, 66-51. Third is Franklin & Marshall with a 43-28 mark in 23 appearances (not playing in 2014). Illinois Wesleyan has a national championship in 1997, third place finishes in 1996, 2001 and 2006 and a semifinal appearance in 2012. IWU advanced to the round of eight in 2010.

Calvin (24-5) beat No. 23 Wittenberg 66-51 and No. 2 Washington U. 83-75 to earn passage into the sectional. Calvin earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 78-53 win at Hope in the championship game of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament. The Knights, who were 12-2 in the MIAA, are making their 19th NCAA appearance and have a 34-19 all-time NCAA record. Calvin has made four Final Four appearances and was the 1992 and 2000 NCAA Division III national champion. Jordan Brink (15.8) and Tyler Kruis (15.6) are the Knights' leading scorers as Calvin outscores opponents 78.0-64.0.

The Thunder (21-8) defeated Rose-Hulman 64-57 and Penn State-Behrend 68-40 to get to the sectional. This is Wheaton's 15th postseason appearance, and 14th in a NCAA Tournament (the 1955-56 team finished fourth in the NAIA Tournament). Head coach Mike Schauer is guiding the Thunder into the postseason for the fourth time in his five seasons. This is the third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament for Wheaton, marking the first time the program has made the Division III Tournament for three straight years.
Senior guard Tyler Peters, the CCIW's "Most Outstanding Player" this year, has led the Thunder in scoring this season with 20.0 points per game. Junior guard Brayden Teuscher is averaging 14.9 points per game. Senior forward Nate Haynes is averaging 10.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season.

Dickinson (23-6) topped SUNY-Geneseo 83-76 and upset Wooster 67-64 in a road game to get into the round of 16 for the first time in school history. In coach Alan Seretti's fifth year, Dickinson has put together one of the best seasons in program history; featuring a school-record 23 wins. Senior point guard Adam Honig is third on the program all-time points list and was the Centennial Conference Player of the Year as he averages 16.3 points. Junior forward Gerry Wixted averages 15.2 points and 7.1 rebounds and became the program's all-time blocks leader with 121. The D3hoops.com preseason All-American earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors four times.
