JACKSON, Miss. - Senior outfielder
Jon Frericks had a grand slam home run and six runs batted in as the Illinois Wesleyan baseball team won its opener, 20-9, over Blackburn on Saturday, Matrch 8 in Jackson, Miss. The Titans also won game two, 8-7.
In the season opener, Frericks had four hits including the home run to stake winning pitcher
Jeff Johnson to plenty of offensive support. Senior
Bobby Czarnowski had three hits and three RBI and junior
Tim Coonan also had four hits with two runs batted in.

Matt Hart struck out six and walked one to earn the pitching win in the nightcap while junior
John Munyon earned the save. Czarnowski had two hits and two more runs batted in while Coonan had a double and a triple, scoring two runs. Sophomore
Matthew Mardis had three hits and a run batted in.
