Titans Win First-Ever Lacrosse Game, 13-3

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - In the first game in school history, the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team scored 10 first half goals and went on to a 13-3 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 22.

In the season opener for both teams, the Titans outshot the Engineers 40-20 and took 39 groundballs to 25 for MSOE.

Freshmen Michael Julius and Evan Mok-Lamme each scored three goals for IWU, while Colin Daly and Jacob Perry each added two. Freshman Tyler Rauwolf, who had three assists, scored a goal along with Tim Smith and Jordan Gagnon.

Connor Coffey and Smith each had two assists and Daly and Julius accounted for one assist apiece.

In almost 40 minutes of work, freshman goalkeeper Steven Laduzinsky made two saves and allowed three goals. Ty Tuey and Jordan Staley also saw second half action in goal for the Titans.

Brent Finnegan, Zachary Dawiec and Aaron Chun had the MSOE goals.
