MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sophomore Trevor Seibring scored 21 points and got 10 rebounds to help the No. 8-ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team to a 92-71 win over Centenary College at the Rhodes Thanksgiving Tournament in Memphis on Sunday, Nov. 30.

With their fifth straight win, the Titans improved to 5-1 while the Gents are now 2-4.

Illinois Wesleyan dominated the rebounding statistic, claiming 45 boards, including 15 offensive, to 19 for Centenary. "There's no question that rebounding was a key to our win today," said IWU head coach Ron Rose in a postgame radio interview. "It was a physical game and we had a size advantage we were able to use. Trevor was strong with the ball inside and was patient, recognizing when to score himself and when to kick the ball outside for a shot."

Seibring was six of 10 from the field, including his first college 3-pointer, and made eight of 11 free throws.

The game was tied early at 5-5 but IWU went on an 11-2 run to snare a 16-7 lead with 15:46 before intermission and were never headed. The Titans led 45-29 at the break and by as many as 24 points at 83-59 with 4:53 remaining in the game.

Junior Mike Marietti (thumb) and senior Jordan Nelson (strep throat) missed their second straight game for the Titans.
