Brie Siebert scored goals in the first eight minutes as Illinois Wesleyan's women's soccer team had a 3-0 win over North Central on "Seniors' Day" at Neis Field on Saturday, Nov. 1.
The Titans improved to 13-5-1 overall and finish 5-1-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while North Central ends their season with a 6-7-3 mark and 2-4-1 in league play.
Tomko opened the scoring just 2:45 into the contest on an assist from Siebert, then Siebert got a pass from senior
Julie Govedarica at the 7:16 mark to stake IWU to a 2-0 lead. Sophomore
Amanda Kaiser collected the team's last score at 40:16.
The Titans outshot the Cardinals, 22-4, and had 12 shots on goal compared to none for North Central. IWU sophomore
Dana Jourdan and junior
Allisa Gurtner split time in goal, sharing the shutout.
What's Next?No. 2-seed Illinois Wesleyan will host No. 3-seed Augustana (12-4-2 overall, 5-2-0 CCIW) in the CCIW tournament semifinal round on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
