Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team picked up their third straight road victory with a 3-0 nonconference win at DePauw University on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Reavis Stadium in Greencastle, Ind.
Illinois Wesleyan improved to 9-2-0 and is No. 22 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Division III national poll and is No. 17 in the D3soccer.com poll. The host Tigers fell to 2-6-2.
Junior
Sydney Fox led the charge for the Titans, scoring all three goals as IWU outshot DePauw 15-8 for the match. Fox now leads the team with nine goals on the season, and is the second Illinois Wesleyan soccer player to score at least three goals in a game this season.Â
All of the scoring took place in a seven-minute period in the first half, starting at the 32:43 mark with
Brie Siebert and
Amanda Kaiser on the assist. Fox would net her second goal of the game in the 36th minute (35:19) when Kaiser again assisted her for the goal. Kaiser's third assist of the match gave Fox the hat trick in the 40th minute (39:20), putting the Titans in the driver's seat for the rest of the match.

Dana Jourdan made three saves in 80:21 of play while freshman
Shannon Green recorded one save to help preserve the shutout. IWU has now shut out its last four opponents, as the last time an opponent found the back of the net was on Sept. 17 (Wis.-Whitewater).Â
What's Next?IWU concludes a four-match road trip in Kenosha, Wis. to square off against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Carthage College on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. Last year against the Lady Reds, the Titans scored three first half goals en route to a 3-0 home victory.Â
