Barker Chevrolet Classic III Scores

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won a pair of matches on the first day of the Barker Classic III at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, topping Illinois College and Central College (Iowa).

The Titans needed three sets to beat Illinois College, 25-14,25-12,25-15, and took four sets to down Central College, 25-14, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17.

IWU improved to 18-11 while the Lady Blues are 7-17 and Central slipped to 18-9.

Against Illinois College, senior Maddie Greybar and freshman Kyleigh Block led the team with eight kills each while sophomore Emily Knowles had seven kills and two blocks.
Sophomore Colleen Rynne was the assist leader with 15 and junior Mary Rankin had 12 digs. Greybar had six digs and provided five service aces.

In the Central match, Block had 14 kills, three service aces and a block while Greybar, senior Kinzie Schweigert, Knowles and freshman Maisy Bowden each had six kills. Bowden had three blocks and Knowles had two.
Rynne and freshman Nicole Bing each had 19 assists and Rankin led the Titans with 23 digs. Block had 16 digs and Greybar orovided 14.

What's Next?
Illinois Wesleyan will play Concordia Wisconsin at 10 a.m. and Wisconsin Lutheran at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 1) at the Shirk Center. The 2 p.m. match will be followed by an alumni game.
