Box Score DECATUR, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team lost a hard-fought game, 2-1, to CCIW foe Millikin in Decatur on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Illinois Wesleyan is now 7-10-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while Millikin improves to 6-7-1 overall and 1-3-0 in CCIW play.
The Titans were on the board five minutes into the game through a goal by senior
John Pisani, assisted by junior
Eric Gilbert. Millikin answered with a goal by Dylan Hottsmith, assisted by Nick Abel fifteen minutes later. Millikin took the lead in the 68
th minute through Abel again when he assisted Kellin Daniel for the go-ahead goal.
Despite the loss, junior keeper Erick Ecklin played a solid game with a season-high nine saves.
