DECATUR, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team lost a hard-fought game, 2-1, to CCIW foe Millikin in Decatur on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
 
Illinois Wesleyan is now 7-10-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while Millikin improves to 6-7-1 overall and 1-3-0 in CCIW play.
 
The Titans were on the board five minutes into the game through a goal by senior John Pisani, assisted by junior Eric Gilbert.  Millikin answered with a goal by Dylan Hottsmith, assisted by Nick Abel fifteen minutes later.  Millikin took the lead in the 68^th minute through Abel again when he assisted Kellin Daniel for the go-ahead goal. 
 
Despite the loss, junior keeper Erick Ecklin played a solid game with a season-high nine saves.
