Box Score 2 LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team split a pair of four-set matches on Saturday, Oct. 11, in the Transylvania University tournament at the Beck Center in Lexington, Ky.
The Titans lost to Asbury (25-6) in four sets by scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-17, 25-13, then came back to beat Otterbein (11-11) in four sets, 18-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.
Against Asbury, freshman
Maisy Bowden led the team with 10 kills and had two blocks, while senior
Maddie Greybar had nine kills and led the team with 10 digs. Sophomore
Emily Knowles had eight kills and two blocks and freshman
Kyleigh Block had six kills with two blocks.
Sophomore
Colleen Rynne had 21 set assists and freshman
Nicole Bing had 20, while junior
Mary Rankin added nine defensive digs.
In the victory over Otterbein, Block led the way with 15 kills and 14 digs with Greybar providing 12 kills and three blocks. Bowden added nine kills with five blocks, Knowles had six kills and two blocks and senior
Kinzie Schweigert had five kills with four blocks.
Rynne and Bing had 20 and 18 assists, repsectively, and Bing also had 12 digs. Sophomore
Loryn Bruer also had nine digs.
What's Next?The Titans get back into College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action with a match at Wheaton College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
