LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won its fourth straight match, taking a five-set decision (25-16, 21-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-10) at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky., on Friday, Oct. 10.

The win gives IWU an overall record of 11-9 while the Pioneers slipped to 9-12.

Three freshmen led the Titans in kills with Kyleigh Block making 15, Maisy Bowden with 11 and Anne Cummings with 10. Cummings and Bowden each had four blocks.

Senior Maddie Greybar and sophomore Emily Knowles each had eight kills as IWU hit .218 with 57 total kills in the match. Transylvania hit .104 with 48 kills and 30 hitting errors.

Freshman Nicole Bing led IWU with 27 assists with 13 digs while sophomore Colleen Rynne had 20 set assists and 10 digs.

Junior Mary Rankin had 24 digs with Block accounting for 22 and Greybar 10.

Illinois Wesleyan continues plays in the Transylvania University tournament in Lexington, Ky., on Saturday, Wesleyan will face Asbury at 12:30 p.m. and Otterbein at 2:30 p.m.
