TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – For the second game in a row, the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team shut out its opponent. This time the Titans took down Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 3-0, at Intramural Field Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 25).

IWU (5-1-2) concluded the Fightin' Engineers (4-2-2) win streak dating back from August 30 en route to its fifth win of the season. The Titans also outshot Rose-Hulman, 29-2, in an offensive attack.

Alison Seger got the momentum rolling, scoring the first goal just before the 19th minute, rebounding a free kick, to set the score at 1-0.

Fourteen second before the halftime buzzer, freshman
Skyler Tomko knocked the second goal back for IWU, to put the score at 2-0 heading into the second half.

Senior
Tillie Bill capitalized on a Titan possession after a corner kick and missed IWU shot in the 60th minute to connect with the back of the net, securing the score at 3-0.

IWU split time in the goalie position between
Dana Jourdan (22:55) and
Zoie Samaan (67:05). Samaan contributed two saves. Rose-Hulman goalkeeper Lucinda Combs suffered the loss for the Fightin' Engineers, tallying 18 saves.

The Titans will resume action on Saturday, Sept. 28 against Earlham College in Richmond, Ind., at 3:30 p.m. (EST).
