IWU Volleyball Loses Pair to Wisconsin Schools

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team lost a pair of matches at the Carthage Invitational, falling in five sets to Wisconsin-Platteville and in four sets to Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday, September 13.

The Titans lost to Wis.-Platteville by scores of 17-25, 25-14, 25-16, 22-25, 17-19, and lost to Wis.-Eau Claire by scores of
18-25, 21-25, 25-20, 16-25.

Illinois Wesleyan's record is now 6-4 while the Pioneers improved to 5-5 and the Blugolds are 5-6.


"The outcome of today's matches was not what were hoping for," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "In the first match, we battled and saw a lot of great effort.  We have to eliminate some of our unforced errors.  The last match was just disappointing because we never got into our tempo and pace."
