ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team lost for the first time in 2013, falling by a 5-0 score at No. 3-ranked Washington U. at Francis Field in St. Louis,. Mo., on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The Titans are 2-1-2 this fall while the Bears improved to 5-0-0 with all five wins coming by shutout.

Zoie Samaan was touched for three goals in the first half and
Dana Jourdan allowed the other two in the final 45:00. Samaan made three saves and Jourdan made six as the Bears outshot the Titans, 22-11, with a 15-6 edge on shots on goal.
Washington U.'s Anna Zambricki had goals at 25:14 and 34:58 and assisted on the Bears' fourth goal, scored by Becky Berels at 54:33.
Lillie Toaspern and Olivia Lillegraven also connected for the Bears and Lauren Steimie provided two assists.
Washington U. now leads the all-time series with Illinois Wesleyan, 7-5-4, and 13 of 16 matches between the two teams have been decided by a goal or less.

The Titans host the University of Chicago at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Neis Field. The Maroons are 3-1-0 and were ranked No. 25 in the national Division III preseason poll.
