ELMHURST, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan breezed to a three-set win over Adrian and topped Wisconsin Lutheran in four sets on Saturday, Aug. 31, to finish 3-1 for the weekend at the Elmhurst College Invitational.

The Titans won over Adrian by scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-7 and then defeated Wisconsin Lutheran by scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.

♦  Senior setter Erin Wachtel was the lone IWU representative on the all-tournament team.

♦ "The team did a nice job responding to adjustments today," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "During both matches, numerous players contributed at various times.  For an opening weekend, we are pleased with where the team is at this point."

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Eureka at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 on the first day of the Barker Chevrolet Classic I. The Titans host Illinois College and Bluffton on Saturday.
