BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – In her first Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer appearance, freshman
Amanda Kaiser scored two goals to help the Titans to a 3-2 victory over Adrian College in the 2013 season home opener at Neis Soccer Field Friday evening.
Adrian (0-1-0) opened the game with an early goal, 53 seconds in, when Erin Weide carried the ball from midfield to successfully get it past IWU goalie
Zoie Samaan.
The Titans (1-0-0) tied the game, 1-1, when Kaiser earned her first collegiate goal, assisted by
Skyler Tomko, at the 20:44 marker.
In the second half, the Bulldogs' Sam Barker took advantage of a free kick to put the ball in the left side of the net, putting the score at 2-1 with 58:14 on the clock. Moments later, IWU evened out the scoreboard when Kaiser knocked her second goal of the game inside the net for a 2-2 match score.

Jenna Baker secured the 3-2 win for the home team after
Chrissy Coderre passed the ball to the sophomore midfielder with time at 76:38.
IWU's goalkeeper, Samaan, concluded the match with two saves, while Adrian goalies Lexi Lewandowski (seven saves) and Taylor Royce (three saves) split play-time for 10 total saves.
The Titans will resume action Sunday when they host Milwaukee School of Engineering at 1 p.m.
