BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team will be making its 10th straight appearance in the tournament and will serve as hosts for the seventh time of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin postseason championships beginning Thursday afternoon at IWU's Horenberger Field.

The top-seeded Titans (29-10 overall, 18-3 CCIW) will open against No. 4-seed Wheaton (14-25, 10-11 CCIW) at 3 p.m. on Thursday, followed by No. 2-seed Augustana (29-8, 14-6 CCIW) against No. 3-seed North Park (20-19, 12-9 CCIW), the winner of last year's tournament.

For the third straight week, the Titans are ranked No. 18 nationally in the May 7 Division III rankings done by the American Baseball Coaches Association and are No. 25 (down from No. 20) in the weekly D3baseball.com poll.

Daily tickets for the tournament are $6 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students and free for those age 10 and under. Admission is also free for students from CCIW schools with ID. No passes will be accepted.

Illinois Wesleyan has been in 26 of the previous 28 CCIW tournaments (started in 1985) and has a 35-41 overall record (.460) with championships in 1989, 2001, 2005, 2008 and 2010. Go here for all CCIW tournament scores.

The winner of the CCIW tournament receives the automatic bid into the NCAA Division III postseason championships with regionals beginning Wednesday, May 15.

Thursday, May 9
Game 1 -- #4 Wheaton at #1 Illinois Wesleyan, 3 p.m.
Game 2 -- #3 North Park vs. #2 Augustana, 6 p.m.

Friday, May 10
Game 3 -- Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser, 11 a.m.
Game 4 -- Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner, 2 p.m.
Game 5 -- Game 3 Winner vs. Game 4 Loser, 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 11
Game 6 -- Game 4 Winner vs. Game 5 Winner, 11 a.m.
Game 7 -- Necessary if Game 5 Winner defeats Game 4 Winner in Game 6, approx. 2 p.m.
