♦ It will be the 154th meeting all-time in the series between Illinois Wesleyan (26-7 this year and winners of four straight) and Illinois State (26-17 overall and on an eight-game winning streak).
♦ ISU leads the all-time series, 83-70, with the two teams meeting in ISU's first-ever recorded baseball game in 1890.
♦ The Redbirds are 4-2 against the Titans since the annual game was renewed and named after the two former coaches in 2004. The 2012 and 2011 games were cancelled because of rain and Illinois State won the last meeting, 12-4, at IWU in 2010.
♦ Illinois Wesleyan junior righthander
Matt Conrad (1-1, 7.30 ERA) will get the start for Illinois Wesleyan while the Redbirds are scheduled to start freshman lefthander Brad Sorkin (2-3, 4.72 ERA).
