BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball season closed on a winning note as the Titans downed North Central in four sets at the Shirk Center on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The Titans won by scores of 26-14, 20-25, 25-17, 29-27 and finish their season with an overall record of 12-20 and a 1-6 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. North Central finished with a 12-22 record and also 1-6 in the CCIW.
"I'm very proud of this team," said IWU head coach
Kim Nelson-Brown. "It would have been easy to throw in the towel a month ago when the injuries started happening and we started losing but they didn't. They continued to work hard; pushed themselves in practice to become better, and continued to believe they were capable of winning again."
