Davis's 24 Helps IWU Past Little Giants, 68-57

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Senior Victor Davis scored a career-high 24 points as the Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team battled for a 68-57 win over Wabash College at the Shirk Center on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The Titans improved to 4-1 this season while the Little Giants went to 0-4.

Illinois Wesleyan outrebounded Wabash, 38-35, and the Little Giants committed 13 turnovers to 10 for IWU. A total of 51 fouls were whistled in the game with 32 for Wabash and 19 for IWU.

The Titans and Little Giants were tied at 4-4 before IWU went on a 10-0 run to lead 14-4. IWU held a 38-28 lead at intermission but Wabash battled back to claim a 43-42 lead with 14:29 to play. But Wesleyan went on a six point run to get a 48-43 lead and held on to that lead the rest of the way.

Davis's previous high was at North Central in an NCAA game on March 16, 2013.
