BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team ended a 13-match losing streak with a three-set win over Monmouth in the second Friday (Nov. 1) match in the Barker Classic III at the Shirk Center.
The Titans lost earlier in the day to Wis.-Eau Claire in three sets, 14-25, 15-25, 19-25, before topping Monmouth by scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-21. IWU's record stands at 10-18.
"Today was the first day in a month that we've had our whole team together injury-free," said IWU head coach
Kim Nelson-Brown. "It was nice to see us come together in the second match and play like we are capable of."
