DECATUR, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team slipped to 9-10 overall and 0-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with a pair of losses at a triangular in Decatur on Friday, October 4.
IWU lost 3-1 to CCIW foe Millikin by scores of 19-25, 19-25, 25-23, 16-25, and later lost a three-set decision to nonconference Webster by scores of 13-25, 14-25, 17-25. Millikin has won eight of its last 10 matches and is 14-8, 2-0 CCIW, while Webster has won six in a row and is 13-3.
"Our consistency, both physically and mentally, has been our biggest hurdle right now," said IWU head coach
Kim Nelson-Brown. "We need to regroup and get back on track. This team is capable of a lot more than they are displaying right now."

The Titans play a CCIW match at Carthage on Tuesday, October 8, at 7 p.m. Carthage is currently 13-8 overall and 0-1 CCIW and is ranked 33rd in the Oct. 1 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll. IWU downed Carthage in four sets (25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16) in a nonconference meeting at IWU on Sept. 21.
