BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team opened College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin competition without a hitch, outdoing Millikin, 4-1, at Neis Field Wednesday (Oct. 2) under the lights, as
Alison Seger and
Tillie Bill each scored two goals.

The Titans improve to 7-1-2 on the season, continuing a five-game winning streak. The Big Blue are now 5-5-0.

Seger opened the game on a strong note for IWU, scoring the first goal just three minutes into play, assisted by
Hannah Ketterling.

Ten minutes later, Seger struck again, dribbling across the top of the box and knocking it back to put the Titans ahead, 2-0.
Brie Siebert was accredited with the assist.

Millikin made contact with the back of the net in the 25
th minute when Chelsea Smalley scored her second goal of the season, assisted by Jenna Eaker, drawing the score to 2-1.

IWU, however, responded with 32:24 minutes on the clock when Bill scored her second goal of the season off a penalty kick to put the Titans ahead, 3-1.

The only goal action in the second half came from Bill again, when she crossed the box and blasted it back to secure the victory at 4-1. Alex Partipillo assisted the final goal in the 59
th minute.

IWU split between goalies;
Dana Jourdan had almost 16 minutes with no saves, while
Zoie Samaan clocked 74 minutes and had one save. Millikin goalkeeper Kayla Lojas had six saves on four goal attempts.

The Titans outshot the Big Blue, 26-3.

IWU will host Elmhurst College in the "Play for the Cure" game at Neis Field on Saturday (Oct. 5). Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
