WHEATON, Ill. - The No. 25-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision at No. 1-ranked Wheaton College on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The loss ended a nine-game unbeaten streak by Illinois Wesleyan, whose record slips to 9-2-4 overall and 2-1-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Thunder improved to 13-0-2 overall and 4-0-0 in CCIW play.
After a scoreless first half, the Thunder got on the board at the 50:53 mark on a header goal by Sarah Guidera off a cross by Samantha Frank. The Thunder added their other goal at 71:40 on an unassisted tally by Leah DeMoss.
Wheaton outshot the Titans, 12-8, and eah ch keeper - IWU's
Zoie Samaan and Wheaton's Kelsey Graham - each had one save.
