IWU Volleyball Loses Twice in Iowa Tournament

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team lost a pair of three-set matches to top 30-ranked teams at the Coe College Mabel Lee Invitational, falling to Coe College and Wartburg College.

IWU has an eight-game losing streak and a record of 9-14 after falling to No. 27-ranked Coe (28-3)  by scores of 10-25, 19-25, 16-25 and No. 30-ranked Wartburg (18-9) by scores of.8-25, 14-25,14-25.

"Despite our injuries, I was pleased with what our team did today," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "Yes, it's two more losses, but we accomplished some small things that are important in the road ahead."
