CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team lost for the first time in 2012 when it was shut out by the University of Chicago on Tuesday (Sept.18) in Chicago.
The Titans, who were No. 7 in the weekly NSCAA/Continental Tire Division III Central region poll this week, slipped to 6-1-0 this season and the Maroons improved to 4-1-1.
IWU was outshot 22-10 and Chicago had 10 shots on goal compared to six for IWU with two each from junior

Chicago held a 1-0 lead at intermission as Michael Choquette scored on a header at the 27:37 mark for the sole tally in half one. Jorge Bilbao scored at 63:00 on assists from J. Sanchez-Cummings and Choquette.
Parker Tikson scored at 85:07 on an assist from Bilbao to make it 3-0 and just 46 seconds later the Maroons added a final score on an "own goal".
Illinois Wesleyan returns to action in eight days when the Titans play at Webster on Wednesday (Sept. 26) at 7 p.m. in St. Louis.
