KENOSHA, Wis. - Illinois Wesleyan's volleyball team downed St. Mary's in three sets after losing in four sets to No. 13-nationally ranked Chicago at the Carthage Women's Volleyball Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 15). in Kenosha, Wis.
The Titans are 7-7 after the win against St. Mary's by scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-23. IWU lost to the Maroons by scores of 22-25, 25-16, 21-25, 19-25.
IWU junior setter
Erin Wachtel was named to the all-tournament team along with Genelle McFarland, Carthage; Nikki DelZenero and Eirene Kim, Chicago; Claire Dezelski and Jacy Lawrence, Dominican (Ill.); and Danielle Remy, St. Norbert.
Against the University of Chicago, sophomore
Maddie Greybar led the team with 12 kills and also had 14 digs. Senior
Alex Hill and sophomore
Cydnee Mann each provided nine kills.
Senior
Stephanie Polich had 25 digs and Wachtel had 39 set assists and 17 defensive digs.
IWU managed only two total blocks in the match.

The Titans return to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action at Augustana on Wednesday (Sept. 19) at 7 p.m.
